Are You On Pace Or Falling Behind?

We're almost halfway through the year and this is your wake up call. If you did set goals back in January, now's the time to check in. Are you ahead of schedule? Are you on pace? Have you fallen behind? Don't just let those goals sit in a drawer. Use them as a living, breathing roadmap. Recalibrate if necessary. It's not failure, it's strategy. Here's a simple exercise that works like a charm. Look at three key numbers. Your total new patients, your total number of patient visits, and your total collections each year to date. Divide by the number of months that have passed so far and that gives you your monthly average. Now use those numbers as your baseline and build. If you're averaging 10 new patients a month, stretch to 12. If you're averaging monthly collections at $8,000, aim for 9,500. Small increases over time lead to massive growth. The Harvard Business Review calls this the aggregation of marginal gains. The idea that 1 % improvements across several areas lead to exponential progress over time. Don't just coast, set goals, reach them, and then raise the bar again.
