Blogging for Mental Health Therapists
If you’ve been watching and implementing our video tips, I assume you have a website by now.
One thing you’ll want for your website is the capability to blog. If your website doesn’t have a blogging feature, talk to your website developer to have it added.
For therapists’ websites, a blog is a short article about something of interest in the mental health field. The average blog post is about 250 words long.
- Your blogs don’t have to be about your specialty all the time. Mental health topics of general interest are great subjects for your blog posts.
- For example, you may do couples’ counseling, but visitors to your website will still find it helpful to read a blog post on “How to Help Kids with ADHD.”
Blogs keep your website fresh and attract new visitors to your site. We find it best to add a blog posts twice a month.
Don’t Have the Time? Don’t Like to Write?
