Are You Blogging

Sep 28, 2018

Are you blogging? Blogging on your website is necessary.

This keeps your website fresh and updated and keeps your business refreshed on the search engines. Come to think of it, when did you blog last? If it’s been less than 10 days, good for you. You need to do it probably at least once a week and even more often if you want to. Put it on your website. Once you’ve posted it, go in and copy the URL address. Then go to your other social communities that you already have profiles on and paste that URL address and post it on that site. That way when people Google you or Google the keywords that you have in those articles, it will come up right away. Having a profile in social communities such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter is all really good, but everything is going much farther now. Bookmarking, creating your own YouTube video and posting in content sites are a great way to get your brand and your name out there today.

While only some of this is needed to be known locally, it doesn’t hurt to get your name out there in a broader community. That way, you become known as the expert on whatever it is that you begin blogging about. People will start looking to you whether locally or globally for that particular niche area that you’re blogging about. You will also want to consider blogging on other sites that people own. And just getting in there once or twice and maybe even commenting on something that they have posted in there, on something that they have written, will cause them to be interested in you as well. Keywords in the subject lines, the title, and the description of your blog will be very helpful in getting that up there in the search engine much higher because when people go in and Google with those keywords then it automatically is going to bring you up.

The other thing you want to think about is whether you’re giving a call to action in your blog. For example, you might want to date it such as, “Be sure to call by such and such date and receive $10.00 off your first session” or “Get a free 10 minute consultation to determine whether therapy is something that will work for this”. Whatever you do, just remember, in a blog you need to consider your audience. Know who you’re writing to. Consider the length of your article. That’s very important. You don’t have to make them long and, as you know, we don’t want to read long ones. Also remember that it’s current and timely. Those are important things.
